In 2000, Mikael Akerfeldt (OPETH), Anders Nyström (KATATONIA, DIABOLICAL MASQUERADE) Jonas Renkse (KATATONIA) and Dan Swanö (EDGE OF SANITY, NIGHTINGALE, …) entered the field with the „Breeding Death“ EP of their to show new band BLOODBATH how Sweden death works. Two years later, „Resurrection Through Carnage“ followed.

DEATHCRIPTION

This is the first full album release from Swedish death metal group Bloodbath. It is the last BLOODBATH record with Dan Swanö on drums, as he later switched to playing guitar. BLOODBATH were not out to win any awards for innovation, but to strip away the complexity of their current projects and have a good time writing what comes natural: raw old school Sweden Death. An absolute must for fans of old school Swedish Death metal!
